The HUNTER 44008076 is a 6-station outdoor irrigation controller designed for residential sprinkler and drip irrigation systems. It operates on line voltage and mounts to an exterior wall, providing a weather-resistant control solution for landscape watering. The unit supports up to 3 independent programs with 4 start times each, giving installers and homeowners flexible scheduling without complex setup. Wiring follows a conventional configuration, keeping the installation process straightforward for irrigation contractors and licensed landscaping professionals. The enclosure is rated for outdoor use and constructed from plastic housing suitable for exposed installations.
This controller is intended for residential landscape irrigation applications where a simple, reliable scheduling solution is needed. It suits standard valve-based systems using conventional low-voltage wiring to solenoid valves across up to 6 zones. The X-Core platform is also compatible with Hunter remote controls, allowing wireless zone activation during startup and diagnostics without returning to the controller. Optional Solar Sync ET sensor integration is supported, enabling weather-based runtime adjustment when the sensor is added separately.
Designed as an OEM-style residential irrigation controller compatible with Hunter remote controls and the Hunter Solar Sync ET sensor. Works with conventional low-voltage solenoid valve wiring configurations standard in residential irrigation systems.
Installation should be performed by a qualified irrigation contractor or licensed professional familiar with low-voltage valve wiring and local irrigation codes. Shut off the irrigation system and disconnect power at the source before wiring or replacing the controller. Mount the enclosure to a solid wall surface at a height that keeps connections accessible and protected from direct water spray. Follow the controller wiring diagram for zone and common terminal connections — do not exceed the station load ratings specified in the product documentation.
