The HUNTER 44008064 is a 4-station indoor irrigation controller designed for residential sprinkler and drip systems. It operates on line voltage and mounts to a wall indoors, making it well-suited for garages and utility spaces where weather protection is built into the installation environment. The controller supports up to 3 programs with 4 start times each, giving technicians flexible scheduling options without complex setup. The plastic enclosure keeps the unit lightweight. Remote activation is supported, allowing wireless operation during walkthroughs and startup checks. This controller is installed by irrigation professionals and knowledgeable DIYers on conventional wiring systems.
The 44008064 is intended for residential irrigation applications where a fixed-station, conventional-wire controller is needed. It supports up to 4 zones on a conventional low-voltage wiring layout. The indoor enclosure type means this unit is not rated for outdoor exposure and should be installed inside a conditioned or protected space. The Solar Sync ET sensor is compatible with this platform, allowing runtime adjustment based on locally measured weather conditions when that optional sensor is added. Hunter remote controls are also supported for wireless zone activation.
Compatible with Hunter Solar Sync ET sensor for smart weather-based irrigation control. Supports Hunter remote controls for wireless activation. Designed for conventional low-voltage irrigation wiring in residential applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed irrigation contractor or qualified technician familiar with low-voltage wiring and local irrigation codes. Power down the circuit before making any wiring connections to the controller terminals. Mount securely to an interior wall surface away from moisture exposure. Verify all zone valve wiring connections are correct before restoring power and running a test cycle.
