The HUNT ELECTRONICS hnc324-td/6mm is a 4-megapixel fixed dome IP camera designed for surveillance installations in commercial and residential settings. It uses H.265 compression for efficient video storage and supports dual streaming for flexible monitoring configurations. The camera features a 6mm fixed lens, built-in IR illumination for day and night operation, and digital wide dynamic range (WDR) to handle high-contrast lighting conditions. Power over Ethernet (PoE) eliminates the need for a separate power run, simplifying installation. The housing carries an IP66 weather-resistance rating and an IK10 impact-resistance rating, making it suitable for outdoor and vandal-prone locations.
This camera is suited for outdoor perimeter coverage, building entrances, parking areas, and interior high-traffic zones where vandal resistance is required. The 6mm fixed focal length is appropriate for medium-distance coverage in corridors, doorways, and similar defined fields of view. The camera mounts directly to ceilings or soffits with the dome bubble facing downward, or flat against a wall looking straight ahead. For installations requiring a sideways tilt of the lens assembly to achieve a level horizon, a wall-mount bracket and pendant-style mounting are required due to the 2-axis lens adjustment design.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-install fixed dome IP camera for NVR-based surveillance systems supporting H.265 and ONVIF-compatible network video infrastructure.
Installation should be performed by a qualified low-voltage or security systems technician familiar with IP camera network configuration. Power down the network switch port or PoE injector before making cable connections. Use a CAT5e or CAT6 cable run terminated with an RJ45 connector to supply both data and power via PoE. When side-angle coverage is needed with a level horizon, mount using a compatible wall-mount bracket in pendant orientation rather than attempting to force a third-axis adjustment the unit does not support.
