The HUBBELL-RACO 2902RT is a straight, non-insulated compression connector designed for use with EMT (electrical metallic tubing) conduit at the 1/2 inch trade size. It provides a secure, tool-assisted mechanical connection between EMT conduit and an enclosure, panel, or junction box knockout. The compression-style fitting clamps down on the conduit when the nut is tightened, creating a reliable mechanical bond without the need for set screws. This connector is installed by licensed electricians during rough-in and finish electrical work in both new construction and retrofit applications.
This connector is suited for residential and light commercial electrical installations where EMT conduit terminates at enclosures, load centers, or electrical boxes. The straight body profile is standard for direct conduit entry into a knockout. The non-insulated design is appropriate for standard EMT applications that do not require an insulated throat at the termination point. Electricians working on branch circuit wiring, equipment connections, and panel feeds will encounter this fitting type regularly.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement fitting compatible with 1/2 inch trade size EMT conduit systems in standard residential and commercial electrical installations.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with applicable NEC requirements for EMT conduit systems. De-energize the panel or enclosure before making any conduit connections. Insert the conduit fully into the connector body before tightening the compression nut to ensure proper seating. Do not overtighten the compression nut, as this can deform the conduit end and compromise the mechanical connection.
