The HUBBELL NHC1023 is a 90-degree male cord connector designed for use in hazardous and wet locations where a liquidtight, secure cord entry is required. Machined from aluminum with a 1/2 inch NPT thread, it accepts cord diameters from 0.38 to 0.5 inches. A one-piece connector body with machined threads provides a strong, positive seal, while a tapered interior dome drives the lubricated neoprene bushing evenly into the body for consistent compression and liquidtight sealing. The patented GOTCHA Ring uses a split-hinge design to deliver strain relief and pull-out protection, and is color-coded blue for quick sizing identification during installation.
The NHC1023 is rated for hazardous location applications and carries UL 514B and CSA approvals. It suits industrial and commercial wiring installations where the enclosure must meet NEMA 4, 4X, 12, or 13 ratings, as well as IP66 ingress protection. Typical installations include conduit systems entering enclosures, junction boxes, and control panels in environments exposed to liquids, dust, or corrosive conditions. It is installed by licensed electricians following applicable NEC requirements for hazardous and wet location wiring.
Designed as an OEM-style cord connector for use with 1/2 inch NPT threaded enclosure entries in hazardous location electrical installations requiring NEMA 4, 4X, 12, or 13 and IP66 compliance.
This connector is installed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the NEC and applicable hazardous location codes. De-energize and lock out the circuit before beginning any cord connection work. Ensure the cord diameter falls within the 0.38 to 0.5 inch range before assembly so the neoprene bushing compresses correctly and forms a proper liquidtight seal. Do not over-torque the connector body against the enclosure hub, as machined aluminum threads can be damaged by excessive force.
