The HUBBELL KILLARK C37 is a Form 7, C-body iron conduit body rated for hazardous and wet locations. Constructed in an oval shape with an overall length of 7-7/16 inches and an internal volume capacity of 11 cubic inches, this 1-inch trade size fitting is designed for use with IMC and rigid conduit systems. The gray iron body meets stringent standards including UL listing and CSA certification, making it suitable for demanding industrial and commercial electrical installations. Licensed electricians and electrical contractors install this fitting where code compliance and environmental protection are critical requirements.
This conduit body is intended for use in Class I Division 2 hazardous locations, as well as wet location environments governed by NEC Articles 501.10(b), 502.10, and 503.10. Typical installation scenarios include industrial facilities, chemical processing plants, refineries, wastewater treatment installations, and other environments where moisture, vapors, or flammable materials may be present. The C-body configuration allows for directional changes and pull-point access within conduit runs using 1-inch IMC or rigid metal conduit.
Designed for use with 1-inch trade size IMC and rigid metal conduit systems in hazardous and wet location installations per NEC Article 501.10(b) Class I Division 2, NEC Article 502.10, and NEC Article 503.10.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code and all applicable local codes. De-energize the circuit and verify the absence of voltage before opening or working within any conduit body. Ensure all conduit connections are properly threaded and wrench-tight to maintain the integrity of the raceway system and the environmental rating of the fitting. In hazardous locations, verify that all associated fittings, conduit, and equipment carry the appropriate hazardous location listings before completing the installation.
