The cutter is ground from M2 high speed steel and finished with a titanium nitride (TiN) coating to extend cutting life and reduce friction during deep cuts. It mounts via a 3/4 inch Weldon flat shank with two flats for positive tool retention in compatible magnetic drill presses and annular cutter holders.
