The HOUGEN 12738 is a high speed steel annular cutter designed for clean, fast hole cutting in ferrous metals. With a 1-3/16 inch cutting diameter and a 2 inch depth of cut, this cutter removes only the material at the hole perimeter rather than boring out a solid slug, reducing the torque and horsepower required at the drill. The 3/4 inch Weldon flat shank with two flats seats securely in compatible magnetic drill press arbors. A TiN (titanium nitride) coating improves surface hardness and extends tool life when cutting mild steel and stainless steel. Material grade is M2 high speed steel.

The HOUGEN 12738 is suited for structural steel fabrication, ironwork, pipe fitting, and general metalworking applications. It performs in both portable magnetic drill presses and stationary drill press setups where a Weldon shank arbor is installed.
