The HORN R105061246TN35 is a solid carbide single point threading tool designed for internal threading operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. The tool features a 60-degree profile angle and a Titanium Nitride (TiN) coating that extends cutting edge life in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. With a minimum threading diameter of 0.2244 inches (5.70 mm) and a cutting depth of 0.9843 inches (25.00 mm), it handles tight-bore threading where standard inserts cannot reach. Coolant-through capability helps manage chip evacuation and heat in deep or interrupted cuts. Machinists and toolroom technicians rely on this geometry for precise thread form in production and repair environments.
This tool is suited for internal threading on small-diameter bores in both production machining and toolroom applications. The left-hand and right-hand thread direction compatibility makes it adaptable across a range of threading programs. At an overall length of 40.00 mm (approximately 1.575 inches) and a projection from center of 3.30 mm (approximately 0.130 inches), the tool fits compact turret positions without excessive overhang. It is appropriate for shops running metric pitch threads at 1.25 mm pitch on precision components such as hydraulic fittings, medical parts, and instrumentation housings.
Designed for internal threading operations requiring a minimum bore diameter of 0.2244 inches and a 60-degree thread profile at 1.25 mm pitch. Verify holder and collet compatibility for the 40.00 mm overall length before installation.
Installation and setup should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. Secure the tool firmly in the appropriate boring bar holder or collet system and confirm runout before cutting. Engage the coolant-through supply before initiating the threading cycle to prevent thermal buildup and aid chip clearing. Do not exceed the tool's stated cutting depth, and inspect the cutting edge for wear between production runs.
