Honeywell Home Z83WSWITCH In-wall Add-on Rocker Switch

Product Description

The Honeywell Home Intrusion Z83WSWITCH is an in-wall add-on rocker switch designed for multi-location lighting control installations. This switch works as a companion device in a wiring configuration where a primary dimmer or switch controls the circuit and the add-on unit provides a secondary control point. Electricians install this type of device in residential and light commercial settings where a single light fixture or load must be operated from two or more locations. The rocker-style actuator provides a clean, modern switch face that fits standard single-gang wall plates.

The Z83WSWITCH is suited for new construction and retrofit wiring projects where multi-way switching is required. It is intended for in-wall installation in standard electrical boxes and is typically paired with a compatible primary switch or dimmer from the same product family. This switch falls within the dimmers and switches product category, making it applicable to lighting control circuits in hallways, stairwells, large rooms, and any space requiring control from multiple entry points.

Key Features

• Rocker-style actuator for a clean, modern switch face
• Add-on configuration for use in multi-location switch wiring
• In-wall installation fits standard single-gang electrical boxes

Compatibility

Designed as an OEM-style add-on companion switch for multi-location lighting control wiring configurations. Verify compatibility with the primary switch or dimmer before installation, as add-on switches are not universally interchangeable across brands or product lines.

Installation Notes

Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes. Shut off power at the breaker panel and verify the circuit is de-energized with a non-contact voltage tester before beginning work. This device is an add-on switch and requires a compatible primary switch or dimmer to complete the multi-location circuit. Do not install as a stand-alone single-pole switch.
