The Honeywell Home Intrusion LTEM-PIA is an LTE cellular alarm communicator designed for use in security alarm systems. It provides a cellular communication path between the alarm control panel and the central monitoring station, transmitting alarm signals over the AT&T LTE network. Licensed alarm installation technicians install this unit as a primary or backup communication module in residential and light commercial intrusion detection systems. The LTEM-PIA is part of the LTEM-P series, which is built around modern LTE connectivity to replace older 3G and CDMA communicator modules that have reached end-of-service on legacy networks.
This communicator is intended for use in residential and light commercial security installations where AT&T LTE network coverage is available. It is suited for new installations as well as upgrade projects where older cellular communicators are being replaced. The unit ships as a single module (sold individually) and is installed inside or adjacent to the alarm control panel enclosure. Installers working on accounts monitored through central stations that support LTE alarm communication protocols will find this module appropriate for those deployments.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement communicator for compatible intrusion alarm control panels supporting LTE cellular modules in the LTEM-P series. Refer to the manufacturer documentation for a full list of compatible control panels before installation.
Installation should be performed by a licensed alarm systems technician in accordance with applicable local codes and the manufacturer installation guide. Disconnect power and backup battery from the alarm control panel before connecting or removing the communicator module. Verify AT&T LTE signal strength at the installation site prior to final commissioning. Do not install in metal enclosures that may block cellular signal without the use of an appropriate external antenna.
