Honeywell Home Intrusion 5800RPS Wireless Recessed Plunger Transmitter

Product Description

The HONEYWELL HOME INTRUSION 5800RPS is a single-zone wireless recessed plunger transmitter designed for door and window contact sensing in security system installations. The device mounts flush inside a drilled recess in the door or window frame, keeping the sensor hidden from view while transmitting a signal to a compatible wireless receiver whenever the contact is opened. Licensed alarm installation technicians are the primary installers. The transmitter operates as a standalone zone input, making it well suited for new construction and retrofit security projects where concealed hardware is required.

The 5800RPS is used in residential and light commercial intrusion detection systems. Its recessed form factor makes it appropriate for doors, windows, and other movable barriers where surface-mounted contacts are not desired. The single-zone design provides a clean, discrete installation without exposed wiring at the contact point. It is commonly installed in conjunction with a wireless security panel or wireless receiver module that supports the 5800-series transmitter format.

Installation Notes

Installation should be performed by a licensed alarm or low-voltage contractor in accordance with applicable local codes and the panel manufacturer's wiring and enrollment instructions. Power down or disarm the security system before enrolling or replacing transmitters. A drill and appropriately sized hole saw or spade bit are required to create the recessed cavity in the door stop or frame. Do not force the plunger mechanism or modify the housing, as this may affect RF transmission reliability.
