The HOLO-KROME 60166 is a flat socket cap screw designed for applications requiring a flush or countersunk fastener profile. It features an 82-degree flat head with a 1/2-inch hex socket drive, allowing installation with a standard hex key or Allen driver. The screw is manufactured from alloy steel with a black oxide finish, providing corrosion resistance and a low-reflectance surface. Thread size is 3/4-10 UNC with a fully threaded shank at 2-1/2 inches overall length. Hardness is rated at 37-44 HRC, meeting the mechanical demands of structural and machine assembly work. This fastener meets ASME B18.3 and ASTM F835 standards and is installed by millwrights, machinists, and maintenance technicians.
This flat socket cap screw is suited for industrial machinery, structural assemblies, and mechanical fixtures where a countersunk fastener is required to maintain a flush surface. The fully threaded 3/4-10 UNC configuration makes it appropriate for through-bolt applications or use with threaded plates. Black oxide finish is commonly specified in environments where low reflectance or mild corrosion resistance is needed without adding significant dimensional bulk. Thread fit class 3A provides a standard commercial tolerance for general-purpose fastening.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fastener for 3/4-10 UNC countersunk socket screw applications in industrial and mechanical assemblies.
Installation is performed by machinists, millwrights, or maintenance technicians using a calibrated hex key or torque wrench fitted with the appropriate 1/2-inch hex bit. Ensure the mating countersink is machined to an 82-degree included angle to achieve full head seating. De-energize and lock out any equipment before fastener replacement in live machinery. Follow applicable torque specifications from the equipment manufacturer or relevant industry standards for 3/4-10 alloy steel fasteners.
