The HOLO-KROME 60108 is an 82-degree flat socket cap screw designed for applications where a flush or countersunk fastener head is required. Made from alloy steel with a black oxide finish, it measures 3/8-16 thread size by 2 inches in overall length and is fully threaded. The hex socket drive accepts a 7/32-inch hex key for installation. With a hardness rating of 39-44 HRC and a Thread Fit Class 3A designation, this fastener delivers consistent clamping force and dimensional accuracy in demanding mechanical assemblies. It meets ASME B18.3 and ASTM F835 standards. Machinists, maintenance technicians, and mechanical assemblers commonly install this fastener type in production and field service environments.
This flat socket cap screw is suited for use in machinery, tooling fixtures, structural assemblies, and equipment frames where a low-profile, countersunk head is necessary to keep surfaces clear of protrusions. The black oxide finish provides mild corrosion resistance and reduces light reflection, making it a practical choice for both indoor industrial equipment and precision mechanical assemblies. The UNC thread form is the standard inch-series coarse thread, compatible with standard tapped holes at 3/8-16 thread pitch.
Designed for use in standard tapped or through-holes with 3/8-16 UNC thread form and countersunk seat geometry machined to accept an 82-degree flat head profile per ASME B18.3.
Installation is performed with a 7/32-inch hex key or hex bit driver. Power down or de-energize any equipment before accessing fastener locations in live machinery. Ensure the mating countersink angle matches the 82-degree head geometry before seating the fastener to prevent galling or improper seating. Follow applicable torque guidelines from ASME or the equipment manufacturer for the fastener size and grade.
