The HILLMAN FASTENERS 5027 is a round head snap-in toggle bolt designed for fastening into hollow walls and ceilings where a standard wood or masonry anchor is not an option. Each bolt uses a spring-loaded wing mechanism that collapses for insertion through a drilled hole, then snaps open behind the substrate to distribute the load across the back face of the material. The round head profile sits flush against the mounting surface for a clean finished look. This pack includes 2 toggle bolts in a 3/16 x 3 inch configuration, suited for medium-load hanging applications in drywall, plaster, or similar hollow materials.
These toggle bolts are used in residential and light commercial installations where hollow-wall anchoring is required. Typical applications include mounting electrical boxes, HVAC brackets, plumbing supports, light fixtures, handrails, and equipment panels to drywall or plaster walls. Toggle bolts are installed by drilling a clearance hole sized to allow the collapsed wings to pass through the substrate, then threading the fixture onto the bolt before inserting it into the hole. Once the wings snap open behind the wall, the bolt is tightened until snug — overtightening can pull the wings through or crack drywall. Follow applicable building codes and the fixture manufacturer's load rating guidance when selecting anchor type and size. No power tools are required beyond a drill for the pilot hole.
