The HERTEL SZ20002C is a solid carbide abrasive rotary bur in a cone with point end geometry, conforming to the SK-6 industry specification. It features a double cut tooth style and a 5/8-inch cutting diameter with a 5/16-inch length of cut. The 1/4-inch shank fits standard rotary tool chucks and die grinders used in metal fabrication, maintenance, and toolroom work. The uncoated solid carbide head delivers consistent stock removal on ferrous and non-ferrous metals, hardened steel, and cast iron. Machinists, tool and die makers, and maintenance technicians are the primary users.
This bur is suited for deburring, port matching, weld blending, and material removal in tight or angled cavities where the 90-degree included angle of the cone geometry provides controlled surface contact. It is appropriate for both bench-mounted die grinders and handheld pneumatic or electric rotary tools in industrial maintenance, job shop, and manufacturing environments.
Designed for use in standard 1/4-inch collet die grinders and rotary tools. Conforms to SK-6 industry specification for carbide rotary burs.
Installation is performed by machinists, toolroom technicians, or maintenance professionals using a die grinder or rotary tool with a 1/4-inch collet. Ensure the tool is powered down and pressure relieved before changing burs. Secure the shank fully in the collet and tighten to the tool manufacturer's specification before operation. Always use appropriate eye protection and follow applicable shop safety procedures when operating rotary burs.
