The HERTEL MR34-0665.406 is a solid carbide chucking reamer designed for precision hole finishing in tight-tolerance machining applications. With a reamer diameter of 1.69 mm and a diameter tolerance of 0.0000 to +0.0003 mm, this tool holds close dimensional control on small bores. The spiral flute geometry with left-hand spiral direction and right-hand cutting action promotes smooth chip evacuation while reducing chatter. Four flutes provide consistent surface finish. The straight shank allows direct mounting in standard collet chucks and drill press spindles. Machinists and tool-room operators working on precision components will find this reamer suited to production and repair contexts alike.
This chucking reamer is intended for finish-reaming small-diameter holes in ferrous and non-ferrous materials where bore geometry and surface finish are critical. With a 50 mm overall length and a 10 mm flute length, the tool is sized for short, precise cuts in workpieces where reach and rigidity both matter. It is commonly used in CNC machining centers, manual lathes, and drill presses. The bright polished finish reduces built-up edge and is well suited to non-coated applications where coolant or cutting oil is applied directly.
Designed as an OEM-style precision chucking reamer for use in standard straight-shank collet chucks and drill press spindles capable of accepting the 1.69 mm shank diameter.
Installation and operation should be performed by qualified machinists familiar with precision reaming procedures. Ensure the spindle and workpiece are fully secured and the machine is at a complete stop before mounting or removing the tool. Use appropriate cutting fluid or coolant for the workpiece material to extend tool life and maintain bore finish quality. Do not exceed manufacturer-recommended feed and speed parameters for solid carbide tooling at this diameter.
