The HERTEL K008107AS is a spiral flute bottoming tap designed for threading 4-48 UNF holes in production and maintenance machining environments. Built from high speed steel with a bright/uncoated finish, this tap features a 52-degree helix angle that efficiently evacuates chips up and out of the hole during cutting. The bottoming chamfer allows threading to the bottom of blind holes where standard or plug taps cannot reach. With a 2B class of fit and H2 thread limit, it produces threads within the tolerance range required for most general-purpose fastener applications.
