The HERTEL H95006004 is a 1/8-inch jobber-length drill bit designed for general-purpose holemaking in metal, wood, and composite materials. Built from heavy-duty high speed steel with an oxide finish, this bit delivers consistent cutting performance across a wide range of shop and field applications. The 137-degree split point reduces walking and allows the bit to self-start without a center punch on most surfaces. With a 2-3/4-inch overall length and right-hand spiral flute geometry, it follows ANSI standards for jobber-series tooling and fits standard drill chucks used by machinists, pipefitters, electricians, and general tradespeople.
This bit is suited for production drilling and maintenance repair operations where a small-diameter, short-throw hole is needed. The regular spiral and two-flute design evacuate chips efficiently during through-hole and blind-hole applications in ferrous and non-ferrous stock. It is a common size for pilot holes, sheet metal work, and light structural drilling encountered in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical rough-in work.
Designed as an ANSI jobber-series replacement drill bit compatible with any standard 3-jaw keyed or keyless drill chuck accepting 1/8-inch shank tooling.
Install in a properly sized drill chuck and tighten securely before operation. Ensure the workpiece is clamped or fixtured to prevent movement during drilling. Use appropriate cutting fluid or lubricant when drilling ferrous metals to extend bit life. Inspect the cutting edges before each use and replace if chipped or dulled to maintain hole quality and prevent breakage.
