The HERTEL H05767785 is a laydown threading insert designed for right-hand internal Acme thread cutting applications. Manufactured from solid carbide with a TiC/TiN coating, this insert delivers consistent thread form geometry and extended tool life in demanding threading operations. It carries a 1/2 inch inscribed circle and a thickness of 0.187 inches, conforming to the 22IR insert style. At 6 threads per inch, it is suited for coarse Acme thread profiles commonly found in power transmission and motion control components. Machinists and toolroom operators rely on this insert grade HG330TR for reliable performance across a range of ferrous and non-ferrous workpiece materials.
This insert is used in internal threading operations on CNC lathes, turret lathes, and manual threading setups where Acme thread forms are required. Acme threads are standard in applications such as lead screws, power screws, and jack mechanisms in both industrial and commercial equipment manufacturing environments. The right-hand configuration suits the most common thread orientation found in these assemblies. It is appropriate for job shops, production machining facilities, and maintenance and repair operations that require precise internal thread cutting.
Designed as a laydown threading insert in the 22IR style, this insert is compatible with standard 22IR-series internal threading toolholders that accept 1/2 inch inscribed circle laydown inserts.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the toolholder manufacturer's clamping specifications. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the toolholder is secure before seating or replacing the insert. Use the correct torque wrench and clamping screw recommended by the toolholder manufacturer to avoid insert fracture or improper seating. Inspect the insert pocket for chips or debris before installation to maintain accurate thread form geometry.
