The HERTEL H05767496 is a laydown threading insert designed for right-hand external Acme thread cutting on CNC and manual lathes. Manufactured from solid carbide with a TiC/TiN multilayer coating, this insert delivers consistent thread form geometry and extended tool life in demanding threading operations. It is ground to the 22ER insert style with a 5 threads-per-inch (TPI) pitch, a 1/2-inch inscribed circle (IC), and a nominal thickness of 0.187 inches. The Acme thread standard makes this insert well-suited for producing power-transmission and lead-screw thread forms in a variety of workpiece materials. The HG630TR manufacturer grade indicates a coated carbide substrate selected for wear resistance on steel and alloy applications.
This insert is intended for use on external threading operations in production and job-shop environments. Its Acme thread form is commonly applied when machining lead screws, feed screws, jacks, and linear actuator components. The right-hand cutting orientation suits standard threading-direction setups. Machinists and CNC operators working on general metalworking, aerospace, or industrial fabrication applications will find this insert appropriate for medium to high-speed threading passes. Sold individually with a minimum order quantity of 10 units per order.
Designed as a replacement or production threading insert for toolholders accepting the 22ER laydown insert style with a 1/2-inch inscribed circle and Acme thread form designation.
This insert is installed by a machinist or CNC operator into a compatible 22ER-style laydown threadng toolholder. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before seating or replacing inserts. Verify that the insert seats flush against the toolholder pocket and that the clamping screw torque is applied per the toolholder manufacturer specification. Confirm thread pitch and hand orientation against the workpiece drawing before commencing the threading cycle.
