The HERTEL H05767140 is a solid carbide laydown threading insert designed for right-hand internal NPTF thread cutting at 14 threads per inch. Coated with a TiC/TiN finish for enhanced wear resistance and tool life, this insert features a 3/8 inch inscribed circle and a thickness of 0.146 inches. It carries an insert style designation of 16IR and a relief angle of 0 degrees, making it suited for rigid, precision threading operations in a laydown-style toolholder. Machinist and tool-room professionals working with tapered pipe threads specify this insert when NPTF thread form accuracy is required.
This insert is used in internal threading applications where NPTF tapered pipe thread standards must be met.
