The HERTEL H-81155L08060 is a combination drill and countersink designed for simultaneous drilling and countersinking in a single operation. Built from high speed steel with a bright polished finish, this tool handles trade size 8 work with a 3/4 inch body diameter and a 5/16 inch drill point diameter. The 118-degree drill point angle and 90-degree included countersink angle are standard for general-purpose metalworking and woodworking applications. At 6 inches overall length, it is classified as a long-length tool, offering added reach in deeper setups. Machinists and fabricators working with CNC machines, drill presses, or manual setups will find this a reliable single-pass tool.
This combo drill countersink is suited for production and job-shop environments where countersinking screws flush or below a surface is required in one step. The plain cutting edge style and double end type make it a straightforward choice for ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Typical applications include preparing holes for flat-head fasteners in metal fabrication, sheet metal work, and general machining. It is not an aircraft-style tool and is not tapered, making it appropriate for standard commercial and industrial countersinking tasks.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use combo drill countersink for standard trade size 8 countersinking applications on drill presses, CNC machining centers, and manual drilling equipment.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists or tooling technicians familiar with proper speeds, feeds, and workholding practices. Secure the workpiece firmly before operation and ensure the tool is properly chucked and centered before engaging the spindle. Follow applicable shop safety standards and machine guarding requirements when operating drilling or milling equipment. Do not exceed the recommended RPM for the tool diameter and material being machined.
