The HERTEL E899921313 is a single-end square end mill designed for milling, slotting, and profiling operations on ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Manufactured from high speed steel with a titanium nitride (TiN) coating, it offers improved surface hardness and wear resistance over uncoated HSS tooling. The cutter measures 1 inch in diameter with a 1.5-inch length of cut, a 0.75-inch shank diameter, and a 4.125-inch overall length. The two-flute, spiral geometry with a 30-degree helix angle promotes chip evacuation and reduces cutting pressure. Installation and use are handled by machinists and toolroom technicians operating vertical mills, knee mills, or CNC machining centers.
This end mill is suited for general-purpose milling applications including peripheral milling, slotting, and plunge cutting in shop and production environments. The centercutting design allows direct plunge entry into the workpiece without a pre-drilled hole, expanding its use across profiling and pocketing operations. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute orientation conform to standard spindle rotation on conventional and CNC milling equipment. The 30-degree helix provides a balance between cutting efficiency and tool rigidity appropriate for a broad range of steel, aluminum, and similar materials.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit cutting tool for standard 0.75-inch shank tool holders, collet chucks, and end mill holders used on vertical and horizontal milling machines and CNC machining centers.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. The machine spindle must be brought to a full stop and the power source locked out before inserting or removing the end mill from the tool holder. Ensure the shank is fully seated and the set screw or collet is torqued according to the tool holder specification. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or wear before each use.
