The HERTEL E8053014 is a double-end, square-profile end mill designed for general-purpose milling operations in metalworking and machining applications. Built from M7 high speed steel with a titanium nitride (TiN) finish, it delivers improved wear resistance and tool life compared to uncoated HSS tooling. The 7/32 inch cutting diameter, 9/16 inch length of cut, and four-flute spiral geometry make it well suited for slotting, peripheral milling, and light profiling passes in steel, aluminum, and non-ferrous materials. The centercutting design allows direct plunge entry. This tool is intended for use by machinists and tool-and-die professionals on manual mills and CNC machining centers.
The E8053014 is a regular-length double-end mill, offering two usable cutting ends to extend tool life between replacements. The 3/8 inch shank diameter fits standard ER collets, side-lock holders, and shrink-fit chucks commonly found in job shop and production environments. With a 30-degree helix angle and right-hand cut, right-hand flute configuration, this tool suits conventional and climb milling in a range of ferrous and non-ferrous workpiece materials. It is a practical general-purpose choice for small-diameter slot and profile work.
Designed as a standard-shank replacement end mill for use in any milling setup accepting a 3/8 inch shank diameter, including ER collet chucks, Weldon side-lock holders, and shrink-fit systems on manual mills and CNC machining centers.
Installation and tool changes must be performed with the machine powered down and the spindle fully stopped. Ensure the shank seating depth meets the toolholder manufacturer minimum engagement specification before tightening. Inspect collet or chuck bore for chips or wear before seating the shank. Follow applicable shop safety procedures and machine tool manufacturer guidelines for runout verification after tool installation.
