The HERTEL E7050048 is a double-end cobalt square end mill designed for milling steel, stainless, and high-temperature alloys in demanding shop environments. Built from M42 cobalt high-speed steel, it carries a TiCN (titanium carbonitride) coating that extends tool life by reducing friction and heat buildup at the cutting edge. The 3/4 inch cutting diameter pairs with a 1-5/16 inch length of cut and a 5 inch overall length, giving machinists adequate reach for typical slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling operations. Two flutes with a 30-degree right-hand spiral helix provide efficient chip evacuation and a clean finish on most ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces. Installed by machinists and tool-and-die professionals on CNC machining centers and manual knee mills.
This end mill suits production and job-shop applications where a reliable, double-end cobalt tool reduces per-part cost. The centercutting geometry allows plunge entry directly into the workpiece without pre-drilling, supporting both slotting and ramping toolpaths.
