The HERTEL E6252014 is a solid carbide double-end ball end mill designed for precision milling operations in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. With a 0.2188-inch cutting diameter, a 0.5-inch length of cut, and four right-hand flutes, this tool delivers efficient chip evacuation and a smooth surface finish in contour milling, profiling, and slotting applications. The TiN coating increases surface hardness and reduces friction at the cutting edge, extending tool life under demanding conditions. At 2.5 inches overall length with a 0.25-inch shank diameter, it fits standard collet and end mill holders.
This end mill is suited for use in vertical machining centers, CNC mills, and manual knee mills where small-diameter, high-precision ball nose geometry is required. The double-end configuration allows the operator to index to the second cutting end when the first shows wear, effectively doubling usable tool life per unit. Right-hand cutting direction and right-hand flute direction make it compatible with standard spindle rotation on conventional machining setups. Typical applications include die and mold work, contouring, and finishing passes in tight-tolerance parts.
Designed for use in standard 0.25-inch collet chucks and end mill holders on CNC and manual milling machines with right-hand spindle rotation.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Power down and lock out the spindle before inserting or removing the end mill from the holder. Ensure the shank is fully seated to the recommended engagement depth in the collet or holder before tightening. Inspect the cutting edges and coating for chips or damage before each use.
