The HERTEL E6249007 is a solid carbide ball end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining applications. With a 0.1094-inch cutting diameter and a 2-flute geometry, this tool is built for profiling, contouring, and finishing passes in harder materials where rigidity and sharp cutting edges are critical. The TiN (titanium nitride) coating extends tool life by reducing friction and improving wear resistance at the cutting edge. At 1.5 inches overall length with a 0.375-inch length of cut, it is suited for shallow-depth finish work requiring a tight radius. Machinists and CNC operators working in job shops, tool rooms, or production environments will find this end mill appropriate for close-tolerance detail work.
This ball end mill fits CNC machining centers, manual knee mills, and CNC routers equipped with a 0.125-inch (1/8-inch) shank collet or end mill holder. It is sized for small-diameter milling work including slot milling, 3D surface finishing, and die work where a full ball nose profile is required. Right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction make it compatible with standard spindle rotation on most vertical machining centers. Single-end configuration means the full shank length is available for tool holding.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills equipped with a 1/8-inch collet or end mill holder accepting a single-end ball nose carbide end mill.
This end mill is installed by a machinist or CNC operator using a standard collet chuck or end mill holder sized to the 1/8-inch shank diameter. Ensure the spindle is fully powered down and locked before changing tooling. Verify runout on the holder before running at speed, as excessive runout will accelerate edge wear on small-diameter carbide tools. Follow the machine tool manufacturer and tooling manufacturer guidelines for speeds and feeds appropriate to the workpiece material.
