The HERTEL E6249004 is a solid carbide ball end mill designed for high-precision milling operations in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. With a 0.0625 inch cutting diameter and a 0.125 inch length of cut, this tool is built for fine detail work, corner rounding, and contour milling in tight geometries. The TiN coating increases surface hardness and reduces friction at the cutting edge, extending tool life in production environments. It is used by machinists and tool-and-die professionals on CNC and manual milling equipment where accurate, repeatable material removal is required.
This end mill is suited for finish milling, slotting, and profiling passes in die and mold work, prototype machining, and precision component manufacturing. The single-end configuration and 1.5 inch overall length make it compatible with standard collet chucks and tool holders sized for a 0.125 inch shank. Right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction are standard for conventional and climb milling on most vertical machining centers.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide ball end mill for use in standard 0.125 inch collet chucks and tool holders on CNC milling machines and manual knee mills.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully in the collet or tool holder to the recommended grip length before tightening. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or coating damage before each use and confirm runout is within tolerance for the application.
