The HERTEL E6014032 is a solid carbide ball end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal, composite, and hardened material applications. The ball nose profile generates contoured and 3D surface geometries that flat end mills cannot achieve. With a 0.5-inch cutting diameter, 2-inch length of cut, and a titanium nitride (TiN) coating, this tool balances hardness and wear resistance for extended tool life in production environments. The 4-inch overall length and matching 0.5-inch shank diameter provide stable tool holding in standard collet or end mill holders. Machinists and CNC operators working in job shops, tool rooms, and production cells rely on this geometry for die, mold, and contour work.
This ball end mill is suited for profiling, slotting, and 3D contouring cuts in ferrous and non-ferrous metals. The single-end, two-flute configuration supports efficient chip evacuation in moderate-to-deep pocket milling. Right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction make it compatible with conventional CNC machining centers and manual knee mills running standard spindle rotation. The TiN coating adds surface hardness and reduces friction, extending cutting edge life when running at elevated surface footage. This tool is sold as a single unit.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement or standard tooling selection for CNC machining centers and manual mills using 0.5-inch collets or end mill holders with right-hand spindle rotation.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in an e-stop or locked-out state before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the holder and torque the collet nut to the tool holder specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a production cut to avoid premature edge failure or workpiece damage.
