The HERTEL E6014012 is a solid carbide ball end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal, composite, and hardened material applications. With a 0.1875-inch cutting diameter and a 0.75-inch length of cut, this single-end tool delivers consistent performance in slotting, profiling, and 3D contouring work. The two-flute geometry promotes efficient chip evacuation, while the TiN coating extends tool life by reducing friction and wear at the cutting edge. At 2.5 inches overall length and 0.03 pounds, it is sized for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills where compact reach and rigidity are priorities.
This end mill is suited for light-to-medium material removal in ferrous and non-ferrous metals, plastics, and composites on both CNC and manual milling equipment. The right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction make it compatible with standard spindle configurations found in vertical machining centers and toolroom mills. The 3/16-inch shank matches the cutting diameter, simplifying collet and tool holder selection in production and job-shop environments. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals will find it well suited for finish passes and intricate contour work where ball-nose geometry is required.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide ball end mill replacement for standard 3/16-inch collets and tool holders used in CNC and manual vertical milling applications.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following shop safety procedures. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the collet or tool holder to the recommended grip length and torque the retention mechanism per the tool holder manufacturer specifications. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning cuts, as excessive runout will shorten tool life and degrade surface finish.
