The HERTEL E599924734 is a solid carbide ball end mill designed for precision milling operations in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Built from micrograin carbide, it offers the hardness and wear resistance needed for demanding cuts in tool steels, alloy steels, and hardened materials. The ball nose geometry produces a smooth radius profile on contoured surfaces, pockets, and die work. With a 0.25 inch diameter, 0.75 inch length of cut, and three right-hand flutes, this end mill is well suited for high-accuracy finishing and semi-finishing passes where surface integrity matters. Machinists and tool-and-die technicians are the primary users.
This end mill fits standard CNC machining centers and manual mills with a 0.25 inch collet or end mill holder. The 2.5 inch overall length and 0.25 inch shank diameter make it compatible with common ER16, ER20, and similar collet systems used in both vertical and horizontal setups. It performs in slotting, profiling, and 3D contouring applications. The uncoated finish is appropriate for use with cutting fluids in aluminum, brass, and softer steels, or for applications where coatings would alter dimensional tolerances.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting a 0.25 inch shank end mill via standard collet or end mill holder systems.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. Power down and lock out the spindle before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the collet or holder to the recommended engagement depth before tightening. Inspect the cutting edges and shank for runout after mounting using a dial indicator before beginning a cut.
