The HERTEL E599924672 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal, composite, and hard material applications. With an 18 mm (0.7087 inch) cutting diameter and a 38 mm (1.4961 inch) length of cut, this tool delivers consistent performance in profiling, slotting, and peripheral milling. The four-flute geometry supports efficient chip evacuation while maintaining a strong core. The 30-degree helix angle balances cutting pressure and surface finish. Micrograin carbide construction provides wear resistance and edge retention at elevated cutting speeds. This is a single-end tool with a bright, uncoated finish suited for use with external coolant or dry cutting strategies.
This end mill is used in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines for general-purpose material removal in ferrous and non-ferrous metals, plastics, and similar engineering materials. The regular-length configuration and matched shank and cutting diameter of 18 mm make it a practical choice for standard reach applications in job shop and production environments. Right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction are standard for conventional spindle setups. The centercutting capability allows for plunge entry into the workpiece.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct substitute for standard 18 mm square end mill applications requiring a 4-flute, solid carbide, single-end tool with a regular length of cut.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. Secure the shank fully into a compatible collet chuck or end mill holder before operation, and verify runout with a dial indicator before cutting. Follow machine tool manufacturer guidelines for speed, feed, and depth-of-cut recommendations based on workpiece material. Never exceed the rated cutting parameters for carbide tooling, as thermal shock or improper clamping can cause tool breakage.
