The HERTEL E599924530 is a solid carbide ball end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal, composites, and hard plastics. With a 0.375-inch mill diameter and a 0.625-inch length of cut, this single-end tool delivers accurate contouring, slotting, and profiling in CNC and manual machining setups. The 4-flute geometry provides a strong core with efficient chip evacuation, and the 30-degree helix angle promotes smooth cutting action and reduced vibration. Solid carbide construction offers rigidity and wear resistance at elevated cutting speeds compared to high-speed steel tooling. The uncoated finish suits general-purpose applications where coating is not required or where re-sharpening is anticipated.
This end mill is suited for job shops, tool rooms, and production machining environments running CNC machining centers or manual knee mills. It is appropriate for finish milling contoured surfaces, pocketing operations, and ramp milling in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The right-hand cutting direction and right-hand flute orientation are standard for conventional CNC setups. The 0.375-inch shank diameter fits standard ER collet chucks, shrink-fit holders, and Weldon-style side-lock holders commonly found in milling applications.
Designed as a standard single-end ball nose carbide end mill compatible with 0.375-inch bore collet chucks, shrink-fit holders, and side-lock milling holders used in CNC and manual milling machines.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before inserting or removing the tool from the holder. Seat the shank to the minimum insertion depth specified by the toolholder manufacturer to prevent pullout under cutting loads. Verify runout with a dial indicator after clamping before beginning a cut, as excessive runout accelerates wear and degrades surface finish.
