The HERTEL E599924498 is a solid carbide ball end mill designed for precision milling operations in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. With a 3/4 inch mill diameter and a 1 inch length of cut, this single-end tool delivers accurate contour milling, profiling, and 3D surface work. The 2-flute geometry and 30-degree helix angle promote efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. At 3 inches overall length with a matching 3/4 inch shank diameter, it mounts securely in standard end mill holders and collet chucks. The bright uncoated finish suits general-purpose carbide applications where coating compatibility with the workpiece material is a consideration. Installed by machinists and tooling technicians in job shop and production environments.
This ball end mill is suited for CNC machining centers and manual knee mills handling profiling, slotting, and contouring passes. The center-cutting design allows plunge entry, making it practical for ramping and helical interpolation operations. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute direction are standard for conventional spindle setups. The solid carbide construction supports higher feed rates and longer tool life compared to high-speed steel alternatives, particularly in harder workpiece materials and higher-speed spindle applications.
Designed as a standard fractional-inch single-end ball end mill for use in holders and collet systems accepting a 3/4 inch shank diameter. Part of the HERTEL HBSC2-CC series.
Installation is performed by qualified tooling technicians or machinists. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before mounting or removing the end mill. Seat the shank fully into the collet or end mill holder and torque the retention mechanism per the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning cuts, as excessive runout accelerates edge wear on carbide tooling.
