The HERTEL E599924313 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal, composites, and other hard materials. It features a 9/32 inch (0.2813 inch) cutting diameter with a 2-flute, double-end configuration and a 30-degree helix angle. The centercutting geometry allows direct plunge entry into workpieces without a pre-drilled hole. Built from micrograin carbide, this end mill delivers rigidity and edge retention in demanding cutting environments. It is uncoated and suited for applications where coating compatibility or regrinding flexibility is a priority. Machinists and tooling professionals handling precision CNC or manual milling work are the primary users.
This end mill is suited for light to medium-duty milling tasks including slotting, profiling, and contouring in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The double-end design provides two usable cutting ends, extending tool life before replacement is required. With an 11/16 inch length of cut and a 3/8 inch shank diameter, it fits standard collet chucks and end mill holders commonly found in vertical machining centers and knee mills. The 3-1/2 inch overall length provides adequate reach for most standard workpiece setups without excessive overhang.
Designed as a standard replacement or tooling addition for CNC machining centers, knee mills, and manual milling machines equipped with 3/8 inch collet chucks or end mill holders.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the machine in a fully stopped and locked-out state per applicable machine safety procedures. Ensure the shank is fully seated and the collet nut or set screw is torqued to the tool holder specification before operation. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or damage before each use, especially when using the second end of a double-end tool. Follow shop-standard speeds and feeds for the workpiece material and cutting diameter.
