The HERTEL E5251008 is a solid carbide ball end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining applications. With a 0.125-inch mill diameter and a 0.25-inch length of cut, this double-end tool delivers accurate profiling, contouring, and slot milling in a compact form factor. The 2-flute geometry with a 30-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. Constructed from solid carbide and left uncoated, this end mill is suited for a wide range of base materials where a general-purpose uncoated tool meets the application requirements. Machinists and CNC operators install this tool directly into compatible collets or end mill holders.
This ball end mill is used in CNC machining centers and manual mills for finishing and semi-finishing passes on contoured surfaces, 3D profiles, and cavities. Its double-end configuration allows both ends to be used, extending tool life and reducing per-cut tooling cost. The right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction make it compatible with standard spindle rotation on conventional vertical mills and machining centers. It is well suited for light to moderate material removal in steel, aluminum, and similar materials at appropriate feed and speed parameters.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use solid carbide ball end mill for CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting a 0.125-inch shank diameter collet or end mill holder.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC operators. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before installing or removing the tool from the collet or tool holder. Use a properly sized collet that matches the 0.125-inch shank diameter to ensure concentricity and minimize runout. Follow machine manufacturer guidelines and applicable shop safety practices when setting tool length offsets and establishing feed and speed parameters.
