The HERTEL E5022006 is a double-end square end mill ground from solid micrograin carbide. It carries a 3/32 inch (0.0938 inch) cutting diameter with a 3/16 inch (0.1875 inch) length of cut and a 30-degree right-hand spiral helix. The double-end configuration delivers two usable cutting ends from a single tool, extending service life between tool changes. The bright, uncoated finish suits applications where coating interaction with the workpiece is a concern. This tool is used by machinists and tool-and-die professionals running CNC mills, manual mills, and machining centers.
The E5022006 is suited to light-stock-removal and finishing passes in ferrous and non-ferrous materials where a small-diameter end mill is required. The 1/8 inch shank diameter fits standard collet chucks and ER-style toolholders commonly found in CNC machining centers and manual knee mills. With a 1-1/2 inch overall length, the tool maintains rigidity in close-quarter cuts and shallow-pocket operations. The centercutting geometry allows plunge entry as well as conventional peripheral milling.
Designed for use in standard 1/8 inch collet chucks and ER-style toolholders on CNC machining centers and manual milling machines requiring a small-diameter square end mill.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is locked out before changing tooling. Seat the 1/8 inch shank fully into the collet or toolholder and torque the retention nut per the toolholder manufacturer specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning the cut, as runout is especially critical at small diameters.
