The HERTEL E299914107 is a cobalt square end mill designed for milling operations on ferrous and hard-to-machine materials. Built from M42 cobalt high-speed steel, it delivers heat resistance and edge retention that standard HSS tools cannot match at elevated cutting temperatures. The cutter features a 0.250 inch mill diameter, a 0.375 inch shank diameter, and a stub-length 0.250 inch length of cut, making it well suited for rigid setups where minimal overhang is preferred. Four spiral flutes with a 30-degree helix angle promote efficient chip evacuation while maintaining a strong core. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute geometry follow standard milling convention. The uncoated finish allows for easy regrinding and performance evaluation in a range of cutting fluids.
This end mill is suited for slot milling, profiling, and plunge cutting in general machining environments. The centercutting design enables direct plunge entry without a pre-drilled start hole, adding flexibility in pocketing and ramping applications.
