The HERTEL E2030952 is a cobalt square end mill designed for metal removal in milling operations. Built from M42 cobalt high-speed steel, this tool delivers heat resistance and edge retention in demanding cutting applications. It features a 13/16-inch cutting diameter, a 1-1/2-inch length of cut, and a 3/4-inch shank diameter, with an overall length of 3-3/4 inches. The 30-degree spiral helix and two-flute geometry promote chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. This end mill is centercutting, allowing direct plunge entry into the workpiece. It is suited for use in manual mills, CNC machining centers, and knee mills in job shop and maintenance machining environments.
This end mill is a standard regular-length tool intended for general-purpose milling of ferrous metals, stainless steels, and other materials where cobalt tooling is appropriate. The right-hand cut and right-hand flute configuration is compatible with standard spindle rotation on most vertical milling machines. The uncoated finish makes it straightforward to resharpen. Machinists, tool and die makers, and maintenance technicians working in fabrication and repair applications will find this a practical general-purpose choice for slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling operations.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-purchase cutting tool compatible with standard 3/4-inch collets, end mill holders, and side-lock holders used on vertical milling machines and CNC machining centers accepting 3/4-inch shank tooling.
This end mill is installed and serviced by machinists and toolroom technicians. Ensure the milling machine spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down before changing tooling. Seat the 3/4-inch shank fully and evenly in the holder and torque the retention screw or collet nut per the holder manufacturer specification. Inspect the cutting edges for chipping or wear before use and do not run at speeds or feeds that exceed the tool manufacturer recommendations for the workpiece material.
