The HERTEL E199921266 is a single-end, square-profile end mill designed for general-purpose milling operations in a wide range of metalworking and machining applications. Built from high speed steel, it features a 17/64 inch (0.2656 inch) cutting diameter and a 3/4 inch length of cut, making it well suited for slotting, peripheral milling, and light profiling work. The 30-degree right-hand spiral flute geometry promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. With a bright, uncoated finish, this tool is ready for immediate use across a variety of workpiece materials. It is typically installed and operated by machinists, tool-and-die makers, and CNC or manual mill operators.
This end mill is intended for use in vertical and horizontal milling machines, machining centers, and manual knee mills. Its 3/8 inch shank diameter fits standard collets and end mill holders commonly found in both CNC and manual setups. The 2-1/2 inch overall length keeps the tool compact for rigidity in typical cavity and contour work. Center-cutting capability allows it to be used for direct plunge entry as well as conventional side milling, adding versatility in single-setup operations.
Designed as a standard replacement or stock end mill for milling machines and machining centers accepting a 3/8 inch shank; fits ER-style collets, end mill holders, and similar toolholding systems sized for that shank diameter.
Installation and operation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling professional familiar with milling machine setup and toolholding procedures. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is locked out before inserting or removing the end mill from the holder. Verify collet or holder bore size matches the 3/8 inch shank before torquing to the toolholder manufacturer's specification. Do not exceed the tool's rated depth of cut or feed rate for the workpiece material being machined.
