The HERTEL E1051040 is a double-end, square-profile end mill designed for general-purpose milling operations in a wide range of ferrous and non-ferrous materials. It features a 0.625-inch mill diameter, a 1.375-inch length of cut, and a 5.000-inch overall length. Constructed from M7 high speed steel, this tool delivers solid toughness and wear resistance in standard cutting environments. The 4-flute, spiral-flute geometry with a 30-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation while maintaining surface finish quality. Both ends are square ground for maximum tool life between regrinds. The uncoated finish makes it compatible with standard cutting fluids and lubricants used in production and job-shop settings.
This end mill is suited for slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling applications on manual mills and CNC machining centers. The right-hand cut and right-hand flute configuration is the standard orientation for conventional vertical milling setups. The regular-length classification and equal shank and cutter diameter of 0.625 inches make it a straightforward fit for standard collet systems and end mill holders. It is not center-cutting, so it is not intended for direct plunge milling. Machinists, tool-and-die makers, and maintenance technicians working in light-to-medium material removal applications will find this a practical, no-frills tool for everyday work.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit tooling option for standard 5/8-inch collets, end mill holders, and milling chucks used on manual mills and CNC machining centers.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the machine tool manufacturer's toolholding specifications. Ensure the machine spindle is fully powered down and locked out before inserting or removing tooling. Confirm the shank is clean and fully seated to the correct gauge-line depth in the holder before tightening. Do not use this tool for plunge cutting, as it is not center-cutting.
