The HERTEL E1051025 is a double-end square end mill designed for milling operations in metal and general-purpose machining applications. Built from M7 high speed steel, this tool delivers reliable cutting performance without a coating, making it well suited for shops that prefer to run HSS tooling on conventional or manual mills. The end mill features a 25/64 inch (0.3906 inch) cutting diameter, a 1 inch length of cut, and a 30-degree helix angle with a spiral flute design. With 4 flutes and right-hand cut and right-hand flute orientation, it produces a clean, consistent finish on ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
This end mill is used in job shops, tool rooms, and maintenance machining environments for slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling cuts. The double-end configuration extends tool life by providing two usable cutting ends before the tool is retired. The 1/2 inch shank diameter fits standard R8, ER, and side-lock holders commonly found on knee mills and CNC machining centers. It is a regular-length tool, making it appropriate for general-purpose work where extended reach is not required. Machinists working on steel, aluminum, cast iron, and similar materials will find this a practical everyday option.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard stock end mill for use in any milling setup accepting a 1/2 inch shank. Compatible with R8 collets, ER collet chucks, and side-lock end mill holders on knee mills and vertical machining centers.
End mills should be installed by a qualified machinist following standard toolholding procedures. Ensure the machine spindle is fully powered down and locked out before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the holder to the recommended engagement depth and torque set screws or collet nuts per the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Note that this tool is not center-cutting and should not be used for direct plunge operations.
