The HERTEL E1050056 is a double-end, square-profile end mill designed for milling operations in a wide range of ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Built from M7 high speed steel with an uncoated finish, this tool features a 7/8 inch cutting diameter, a 1-9/16 inch length of cut, and a 5-1/2 inch overall length. The 30-degree helix spiral flute geometry promotes efficient chip evacuation while maintaining edge stability under load. With two flutes and a centercutting design, this end mill handles slotting, profiling, and plunge operations without requiring a pre-drilled entry point. It is well suited for job shops, toolrooms, and maintenance environments where versatility and cost-effective HSS tooling are priorities.
This end mill fits standard milling machines, knee mills, and CNC machining centers configured for 7/8 inch straight shank toolholders. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute geometry make it compatible with conventional right-hand spindle setups. The regular-length classification and 1-9/16 inch length of cut place it within the 1.5 to 2.0 inch LOC range, suitable for moderate-depth slot and peripheral milling passes. Machinists and toolroom technicians working in general-purpose material removal applications will find this a practical, direct-replacement option for standard 7/8 inch two-flute HSS end mills.
Designed as a direct-replacement two-flute square end mill for use in milling machines and machining centers with 7/8 inch straight shank toolholders operating in right-hand spindle configurations.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following standard toolholding procedures for straight shank end mills. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is locked out before changing tooling. Secure the shank with the appropriate collet or end mill holder to the manufacturer-recommended engagement depth, and verify runout before beginning a cut. Follow applicable shop safety standards and machine manufacturer guidelines for feeds, speeds, and clamping torque.
