The HERTEL E1050012 is a double-end, square-profile high speed steel end mill designed for milling operations on a wide range of metals and engineered plastics. With a 3/16 inch cutting diameter, a 7/16 inch length of cut, and a 30-degree helix angle, this tool delivers efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action in both slot milling and peripheral milling applications. The M7 high speed steel construction provides good toughness and wear resistance for general-purpose work. At 3-1/8 inches overall length with a 3/8 inch shank diameter, it fits standard collets and milling chucks found on knee mills, CNC machining centers, and manual lathes used for milling. Weighing just 0.07 pounds, the tool is lightweight and easy to handle during setup.
This end mill is suited for general-purpose machining in job shops, maintenance facilities, and production environments. The double-end design extends tool life by offering a second usable cutting end, reducing per-cut tooling cost. The centercutting geometry allows direct plunge entry into workpiece material, making it practical for slotting and step milling without a pre-drilled entry hole. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute configuration is the standard orientation for conventional milling setups.

Installation is performed by qualified machinists or toolroom technicians. Secure the 3/8 inch shank in a compatible collet or end mill holder and torque the drawbar or collet nut according to the machine manufacturer specification before cutting. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped before tool changes. Do not exceed the recommended depth of cut for the 7/16 inch length of cut to avoid deflection or tool breakage.
