The HERTEL E1032914 is a single-end square end mill designed for milling flat surfaces, slots, and shoulders in metalworking applications. Built from M7 high speed steel, it delivers consistent cutting performance in ferrous and non-ferrous materials without a coating. The 2-inch cutting diameter is paired with a 2-inch length of cut and an 8-flute configuration, allowing higher feed rates and improved surface finish compared to lower flute-count tools. A 30-degree helix angle promotes smooth chip evacuation and reduces chatter during operation. This tool is installed and operated by machinists and toolroom professionals working on manual or CNC milling machines.
This end mill suits production and jobshop environments requiring a large-diameter HSS tool for conventional or climb milling. The right-hand cut and right-hand spiral flute orientation make it compatible with standard spindle rotation on vertical and horizontal milling machines. The 1.25-inch shank diameter and 4.5-inch overall length position it for use in standard R8, CAT, or direct-mount toolholders capable of accepting a 1-1/4-inch shank. It is a non-center-cutting tool, meaning plunge cuts are not recommended without pre-drilled entry points.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use end mill for milling machine setups requiring a 1.25-inch shank, 2-inch diameter, 8-flute HSS square end mill in standard toolholders.
A licensed machinist or qualified toolroom operator should install this end mill using a properly sized collet or end mill holder rated for the 1.25-inch shank diameter. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before inserting or removing the tool. Verify runout with a dial indicator after tool installation and before engaging the cut. This tool is not designed for plunge entry; use a pre-drilled hole or ramp entry path when full-depth pocket milling is required.
