The HERTEL E1032124 is a 6-flute, square-end solid high speed steel end mill designed for general-purpose milling operations in machine shop and production environments. With a 1-3/8 inch mill diameter and a 2 inch length of cut, this tool is built to handle slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The M7 high speed steel grade provides good toughness and wear resistance at moderate cutting speeds. A 30-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and reduces cutting forces during full-width and partial-engagement passes. The bright, uncoated finish makes it a straightforward option for standard cutting applications where coating is not required.
This end mill is suited for use in vertical and horizontal milling machines, CNC machining centers, and manual knee mills. The 1 inch shank diameter fits standard collet chucks, end mill holders, and Weldon-style tool holders. The regular-length geometry and right-hand cutting and flute direction make it a conventional choice for production milling of steel, cast iron, and similar materials. It is not center-cutting, so it is not intended for direct plunge operations. Machinists, tool and die makers, and CNC operators working in general metalworking shops are the primary users of this tool.
Designed for use in standard end mill holders, collet chucks, and Weldon-style tool holders accepting a 1 inch shank diameter. Suitable for milling ferrous and non-ferrous materials on CNC machining centers and manual milling machines.
This tool is installed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Secure the 1 inch shank firmly in a properly sized end mill holder or collet chuck, ensuring full engagement of the shank to the recommended depth before tightening. Verify spindle speed and feed rate are appropriate for the workpiece material and tool diameter before initiating the cut. Because this end mill is not center-cutting, avoid plunge entry into solid material — use a ramping or helical entry toolpath instead.
