The HERTEL E1031919 is a square end mill designed for general-purpose milling operations in metal and engineered materials. Manufactured from M7 high speed steel, this tool features a 1 inch cutting diameter, a 1-7/8 inch length of cut, and a 3/4 inch straight shank. With 4 spiral flutes ground to a 30-degree helix angle and a right-hand cut with right-hand flute direction, it delivers consistent chip evacuation and stable cutting performance. The uncoated finish is suited for applications where coolant or cutting fluid is used to manage heat. It is a single-end, regular-length tool with no chipbreaker and is not center-cutting.
This end mill is used in manual and CNC milling applications across machine shops, toolrooms, and maintenance environments. It is appropriate for slotting, peripheral milling, and profiling operations on ferrous metals and similar materials. The 30-degree helix provides a balance between cutting efficiency and edge strength, making it a practical choice for moderate material removal in production and repair settings. Machinists and tool and die makers are the typical end users.
Designed as a direct-fitment replacement or standard tooling selection for milling machines and machining centers accepting a 3/4 inch shank end mill holder or collet.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom professional. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down before changing tooling. Secure the shank in a properly sized collet or end mill holder to the manufacturer-specified holding depth. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut to confirm proper seating.
