The HERTEL E1030048 is a square end mill designed for general-purpose milling operations in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Manufactured from M7 high speed steel with no coating, it features 2 spiral flutes and a 30-degree helix angle that promote chip evacuation and stable cutting. The 0.75 inch cutting diameter pairs with a 0.75 inch shank diameter and a 1.3125 inch length of cut, making it well suited for slotting, peripheral milling, and light plunge cuts. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute geometry follow standard milling conventions. The centercutting design allows direct plunge entry without a pre-drilled hole. Total weight is 0.3 pounds. Installed by machinists and toolroom technicians on manual mills and CNC machining centers alike.
This end mill is suited for use on vertical milling machines and CNC machining centers in job shop, toolroom, and production environments. It handles steel, cast iron, aluminum, and similar materials at moderate cutting speeds appropriate for uncoated HSS tooling. The 3.4375 inch overall length provides sufficient reach for standard workholding setups without excessive overhang. At 0.3 pounds, it fits within the capacity of standard end mill holders and collet chucks sized for 0.75 inch shanks.
Designed as a standard 0.75 inch shank square end mill for use in any milling machine or machining center equipped with a collet chuck, end mill holder, or side-lock holder sized for 0.75 inch tooling.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists or toolroom personnel. Power down and lock out the spindle before installing or removing the tool from its holder. Ensure the shank is fully engaged in the collet or holder to the depth recommended by the toolholder manufacturer, leaving no more shank exposed than necessary for the cut. Verify spindle rotation direction matches the right-hand cut geometry before engaging the workpiece.
