The HERTEL CH-12265 is a manual hold-down toggle clamp designed for vertical clamping applications in industrial and fabrication environments. It delivers a holding capacity of 750 pounds (approximately 3,336 newtons) through a straight steel handle with a 58-degree handle movement arc and a 105-degree bar opening range. The clamp features a U-bar with a closed bar end and mounts to workbenches, fixtures, and jigs via a four-hole flanged base. The handle is finished in red for quick visual identification. Installation and adjustment are performed by machinists, toolmakers, and fixture builders working in production or job-shop settings.
The CH-12265 is suited for use in workholding fixtures, welding positioners, woodworking jigs, and general fabrication setups where repeatable vertical clamping force is required. The flanged base allows secure four-point mounting to flat surfaces. The included spindle, two nuts, and two washers allow clamping height adjustment to accommodate workpiece thickness variations. This clamp is appropriate for both light production runs and repetitive single-part setups where consistent hold-down force is critical.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and direct-fit hold-down toggle clamp for vertical clamping fixture applications requiring a flanged base, U-bar configuration, and 750 lb holding capacity.
Secure the flanged base to a flat, rigid surface using four fasteners through the 0.344-inch diameter mounting holes before applying clamping loads. Adjust spindle length with the included nuts and washers to achieve the correct clamping height for the workpiece before tightening lockdown hardware. Ensure the clamp reaches its full over-center locked position during each cycle to achieve rated holding capacity. Inspect the spindle, bar pivot, and toggle linkage periodically for wear, and de-energize or lock out any associated powered equipment before servicing the clamp or fixture.
